New Umpires
Why are there new umpires? I have never followed the MLB playoff assignments with a "magnifying glass," but I would have assumed that the umpires selected to work playoffs would work the entire October Post-Season, slowly eliminated based on further evaluations.
Example: Division Series: 24 Specially Selected Umpires/68 MLB Umpires League Series: 12 Specially Selected Umpires/24 Division Umpires World Series: 6 Specially Selected Umpires/12 League Umpires Correct me if I'm wrong (and I probably am).
