it wasn't last year, he's probably referring to the Texas first baseman several years ago that was called for an infraction.

The rule was changed some since that time I believe.

You had a coach doing what coaches do best, trying to get a break by some story about the past.

In addition, someone should have politely told the coach that the CWS is NCAA rules anyway, and Babe Ruth utilizes OBR, even though it's not a balk under either code.
