Most umpire pants have extra material in the seat of the pants (generally 2 inches). Take them to a seamstress or tailor and they will let the pants out to give you more room in the waist. As for extender waist - I never heard of them. Hope this helps

The extender waist is when elastic is inserted into the waistband in two spot, which allow the pants to expand.
It is sort of hard to explain, but if you go to your local department store you can try on the extender waist. I have seen it on Dockers and Hager pants, and it probally is on other brands too. |

OZ,
That's hilarious! Somebody once told me to mix in a salad bar every once in a while. I battle weight issues all the time. In fact, I have three sets of umpire pants - normal, overweight & FAT. As of Feburary 10, I have lost most of my "winter coat" and am am pretty close to normal. The unfortunate thing is my season doesn't start for another 7 weeks.... that means plenty of time to gain weight again |

My whole wardrobe consists of the Dockers with the "Comfort Waist Band" I really like how they fit! I have the basketball pants and my feelings are the same!
It seems the old ones used to shrink by hanging in the closet during the offseason! |
