thanks Bob for pointing out my stupidity, you are good at that. The rule states "A run is not scored if the runner ADVANCES to home plate ... The runner in question has already advanced, touched home before ball has reached plate. As I reread rule it does state ...advances to home plate during action... So, you are right "oh mighty one".
I stated in my post what my ruling would of been. I was clearly seeking confirmation. Is this not how umpires learn?? Thanks for the insult, I appreciate it. No wonder there is hesitiation in posting on this board.
But the beauty of it is that we can say "I have learned from the great Bob Jenkins, moderator of this board". Now I can only hope that the people I talk to know who you are.
