If you seriously consider what Bob said an insult, you should really not be posting on these boards. My God, you are like the text book definition of "thin-skinned" if what Bob said "insulted" you.

Geez, how about learning to read better...

thanks Bob for pointing out my stupidity, you are good at that. The rule states "A run is not scored if the runner ADVANCES to home plate ... The runner in question has already advanced, touched home before ball has reached plate. As I reread rule it does state ...advances to home plate during action... So, you are right "oh mighty one".
I stated in my post what my ruling would of been. I was clearly seeking confirmation. Is this not how umpires learn?? Thanks for the insult, I appreciate it. No wonder there is hesitiation in posting on this board.
But the beauty of it is that we can say "I have learned from the great Bob Jenkins, moderator of this board". Now I can only hope that the people I talk to know who you are.

It is only too likely that neither of us has any knowledge to boast of; but he thinks that he knows something which he does not know, whereas I am quite conscious of my ignorance. At any rate it seems that I am wiser than he is to this small extent, that I do not think that I know what I do not know. ~Socrates
