EJ's

It seems that a lot of people have covered the question pretty well. According to some of the posts, I'm either not doing enough games or I'm not doing my job very well.
Over thet past few years, I've only tossed one coach, and he asked for it. Actually asked for it, "if you want to toss me, go ahead!" so I did. I'm still sorry that I didn't dump the coach at that plate meeting.

From all that I've been taught, there are only a few things that will get a coach EJ'd.

1)Yelling at me or my partner and won't calmly discuss that issue when asked to talk not yell.
2)Cussing / getting personal/ showing me up. i.e pointing, drawing lines, ...
3)just plain asking for it.

Players are a different story, must be up to a couple of dozen by now. There is not a lot of room to work in my book.
USC, thrown bat/helmet, ... - gone!
Language, depends on the age group. Usually one warning.

I once had a 16U game where I had F2 batting. Hit a dribbler to F1, said F***ing SH*T as he ran up the line.
The only reason I heard it was that I was trailing. When he came in on D, I told him that I won't have that on my field, he looked me in the eye and apologized.
Didn't have any more trouble the rest of the game.

It comes down to each individual and the situation. Do what you feel you need to do and stay focused.

my opinion......

Lots of good points. I truly try not to go looking for trouble, but when I get an A$$$wipe mo-jo skipper or assistant.....see ya. When the FEDS wanted that dugout jail crap utilized, I did it twice in that season. Next play/pitch.....skippers went home. All that restrict crap does is piss em off. One game, I was BU, batter clips one off foot as he is leaving box, I kill it after I give PU a chance, he missed it, ******* play....ball is rolling fair, F2 hoses BR and I kill it. Skipper cometh, claims I can't make that call....bla-bla. He crosses foul line towards dugout, then starts coming back. I restrict him and mention he better get in the dugout. His responce?? " I am not your f*cking B*itch" Goodbye!!!!! Wanted to tell him, no, your not. I would not f*ck you with your assistants d*ck!!!
