hello all hes another probley duh situation:

runner on 3rd batter has 2-2 count 2 outs r3 atempts to steal hme on passed ball catcher collects ball moves tword 3rd baseline to tag runner batter who original step out of batters box to clear for play steps forward(not in to batters box) and gets crashed into by catcher. umpire declares interferince. calles runner out ending the inning.

was that right or should the batter have been called out still ending the inning and not allowing the run to score.

thanks

With two outs the batter is out, with less than two outs the runner is out and the batter is not penalized.

I think that is backwards. With two outs and the runner trying for HP, the runner is out. I believe in all other situations the batter is out.

With two outs, the batter is out and no run scores. Otherwwise, the runner is out.

6.05 n) With two out, a runner on third base, and two strikes on the batter, the runner attempts to steal home base on a legal pitch and the ball touches the runner in the batter's strike zone. The umpire shall call "Strike Three," the batter is out and the run shall not count; before two are out, the umpire shall call "Strike Three," the ball is dead, and the run counts.

7.08 g) He attempts to score on a play in which the batter interferes with the play at home base before two are out. With two out, the interference puts the batter out and no score counts;

7.09 d) Before two are out and a runner on third base, the batter hinders a fielder in making a play at home base; the runner is out;
