Unhappy NFL Films Legend dies.

Steve Sabol

This is not about rules or even officiating, but I think this is a huge loss to the football community. I would have never wanted to be an official if I did not love football so much and this man is almost the main reason why.

Godspeed Steve.

Peace

Yeah they put his dad in the Hall of fame last year and I am sure Steve will be too.

Enshrinement » Notes & Quotes: Ed Sabol

"My dad has a great expression. He always says, 'Tell me a fact and I'll learn, tell me the truth and I believe, but tell me a story, and it will live in my heart forever.' Interestingly enough now, my dad's story is going to be in Canton and hopefully that will live forever, too." - Steve Sabol

Back in the day....

Before ESPN and all the 24 sports tv arrived on the scene, these NFL films were really something to look forward to!

Sad to see him gone. At least he got to see his father honored in the HOF before he passed. While his dad is the founder, he was as much a driving force behind the success of NFL Films.
