OK, Had a partner call OOB tonight PRIOR to being touched by an OOB Player and PRIOR to coming in contact with anything that was in fact OOB. Later I questioned him about it and he said as soon as the ball crossed the boundry line... it was OOB. I offered my view on article 2 and in my opinion the player was "airborne" trying to "save" the ball and he deserved the opportunity to do so. Partner claims that the ball must stay within the boundry line and that if an airborne player goes OOB trying to save the ball it is fine as long as the ball stays on the court and doesn't go beyond the boundry line? Any thoughts, views?
