NBA and Jewelry

I know we have had the discussion before about those Livstrong bracelets that everyone is wearing. I remember that the consensus was that the were jewelry and prohibited. Someone also mentioned that the NCAA has specifically ruled that they were jewelry.

Now to my question. I was watching the NBA today (Pacers-Pistons) and several of the player were wearing them. I know one player for Detroit had one on each arm. Doesn't the NBA prohibit jewelry too?
