It is obvious on replay, but it is not as obvious live. Those are very hard plays because they do sometimes get to the ball right before the ball hits the backboard.

Agree. I don't get to call many of these in my middle school games.

New high school rule (backboard) is still better than old rule (way up or way down).

Well, that part of the rule still did not change. Just the backboard is a line of demarcation.
