Is there a rule reference for this?

I mean, the closest I could think of was treating this like a dribble-fumble-dribble, where the "fumble" is the ball bouncing on the court.

And would it be the same if B2 got the pass, shot at the wrong basket, got the rebound out of the air and dribbled? Or got the pass, shot at the wrong basket, let the ball hit the floor, then grabbed it and dribbled?

I briefly tried looking in the Rule and Case books, but didn't see anything.
