Lane Space Foot beyond the Plane Just Like the FT'er?
The recently reported "Correction" of 9-1 says, "A player who has entered the free throw lane legally, may not cross the free throw line prior to the ball contacting the backboard or basket ring". That's fuzzy, it seems. Cross the line with a "foot beyond the vertical plane..." like how the free thrower is limited from the other direction? Would reaching an arm through the plane be legal?
Video review of free throws from last year shows only very few of either, actually. The fouls pop right out at you, but the potential new violations are really quite minimal.
Anybody else find this wording, unofficial as it is at this point, a bit fuzzy?
(I reserve the right to be wrong on this)
