Two years ago we did a game on a field that is used for all levels of football, including jr hi, plus all levels of soccer, also played in the fall. The weather had been wet, the lines between the inbounds marks were nonexistant. The mud between the hashes and the 20's was deeper than the tops of your shoes. One clean-uniformed kid, playing in the waning moments, dropped his mouthpeice right in front of me. He picked it up, looked at it, looked at me.
