Here, the pay scale depends.
Pre-certified : maxed at $30 a game, depending on longevity
Certified: maxed at $40 a game, depending on longevity
State Licensed: maxed at $50 a game, depending on longevity
The assignor (league UIC) gets a lump-sum payment of $2,000 in addition to whatever games he/she umpires. (My job next year.)
The kids range from as young as 9-10 years to as old as 13-14.
Varsity/jv rates I don't know since I haven't started umpiring those yet, guess we'll see.
