We allowed the pitcher to keep the rosin bag on the field directly behind her. Dixie rules are not clear on this specific matter.

Under the supervision and control of the umpire, powdered resin may be used to dry the hands. The pitcher shall not wear a sweatband, bracelet, flesh colored bandage or similar type item on the wrist, forearm or arm, that is visible on the pitching arm.
It does not mention if the bag can be left on the field or not.
