Help - clarification:
Situation.
Pony baseball - OBR rules: R1 and no outs.
F2 attempts a snap throw to F3 to pick-off R1 at first base. R1 dives back into first base. Ball glances off F3 glove and trickles into DBT.
What base should R1 be awarded? Second or Third? Based on time of throw I awarded R1 second base - going back to 1st as one base and awarded him 2nd base as the second base. If based on TOT is going back to bag considered one base?
However, as this is the first play by an infielder and not a pass ball or wild pitch, should I have awarded two bases based on the time of pitch? Thus the runner should have ended up at 3rd?
