I've been known to give 'em a "knock it off" when that happens. Or, I'll just hold up giving the ball to the shooter for a few seconds, and then say something like "are you done? Ok, let's play ball."

I'll do the same thing when two players are chickenfighting before a throw-in.

That usually gets the point across.
