Very simply, when the official discovers 6 players on the floor, stop the play and assess the Technical Foul. You can not change action prior to the technical foul as you do not know when the sixth person cam onto the floor. If you knew you would have stopped it then.
A) T on A, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
B) T on A, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
C) T on A, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
D) T on A, A shoots 1 Free throw with the lane cleared, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
E) T on A, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
F) T on A, A shoots 1 Free throw with the lane cleared, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
G) T on A, B shoots 2 free throws, B's ball at the division line.
