Quick Mechanics Question:
As the trail, when should I be chopping the clock when the lead is handling the throw in?

Quick Mechanics Answer:
A) Only when the throw in takes place in front court and remains in front court

Quick Mechanics Commentary:
I don't like this mechanic. It's not like the clock operator can't see the lead chop time in order to know when to start the clock. Shucks, most clock operators, right or wrong, just start the clock when they see the ball touch a player inbounds. But, more significantly, what other time would one like me to watch something that occurs outside my primary when there are things going on in my primary? I predict it'll be two more years and they will abandon this mechanic. Alas, as long as it's the approved mechanic, I will do it. Not that I like it.
