Criticism of umpires is a staple of the Internet message boards. We all make mistakes. The mistakes of the MLUs are simply magnified.
Denkinger's call at first in the World Series, 1985. I don't know the history of the man who started this thread. But I've said in print that Angel Hernandez is the worst umpire in the Major Leagues. (The players and managers think Jim Joyce is the best - still.)
But what do I know? I like Cowboy Joe West.
