I would not say Dick Enberg is classless. I WOULD say that on THIS call, he behaved without class. MOST of the time, Dick Enberg is the essence of class.
This was an awful call by the umpire. This was also an awful lack of class and professionalism by the announcer. Neither means the umpire is pathetic all the time or the announcer is classless all the time.

He may be the essence of class most of the time, but not when he works Padres games. Then he is nothing but an unabashed homer just slightly better (in this way) than Harrelson.
