He had not yet touched home. Coached saw him miss it and yelled for him to go back after he had rounded the base but then gave up after the following runner touched.
The coach pretty much told everyone he missed it by his reaction. Would've probably been a game-winning home run too as it was the bottom of the sixth and they were losing by 1. Even worse was it went 11 innings and was a 3+ hour game.
