That's what I was thinking, too. To me, the intent must be present at the point at which the ball and bat made contact. If the batter was not intending to bunt at that time, it's no longer a bunt. It'd be the same as if she had never put the bat in front.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts on the matter. My first FP games are a week from this Saturday.
