Sort of curious why they would wait five years to mandate brick surfaces be padded. Hell, even NASCAR acted faster than that and is of a much more traditional hard-headedness than the NCAA
Like the idea of testing the 52/300. If this works out with some positive feedback, look for all games to move to the ball by 2013 and many of the non-approved bats returning to both games.
