NCAA Rule 10.20.2 (c)
Rule 10 Fouls and Penalties
Section 20. Personal-Foul Penalties
Art.2. The offended person shall be allowed free throws as follows:
c. Three free throws for:
A foul against a player who attempts a three-point field goal and whose try is unsuccessful. When the foul is intentional or flagrant, the ball also shall be awarded to the offended team at the designated spot.
