Thanks for that read Scrappy! It certainly brought a tear to my eye.
I can't believe that was five years ago and I was completing my first season as a scorekeeper with my school's varsity boys (as a high school senior).
This article needs to be in every coaches manual and AD's office in the country as a good reminder of why we are in the profession.It certainly will go into my notebook next year!
