Again, the official did not point at the player, he pointed at the bench because the player with the ball called for a timeout. There were players on the bench asking for one, but that is not the reason he gave one as the player with the ball was yelling for a timeout. I think you are getting too caught up in the point as I said before it is common to point at the bench when a timeout is granted by an official.
