"count the basket"
Tonight during my adult league game, lead official (two man crew) is running down the floor during a one on none fast break. When the ball is at about half court the player that turned the ball over yells "sh*t". The ball is now about at the three point line and the defender is clearly beaten when the lead official tweets the whistle. While lead is on his way to the table to report the "T" I mentioned to him he probably should have delayed the whistle. To my surprise he counts the basket! Of course that starts pandimonium!
