In honor of the eclipse

In honor of the solstice lunar eclipse, a fun fact for you:

People in the ancient world knew that the world is round, not flat. They knew this because they saw the shadow of the earth pass over the moon during lunar eclipses. And no matter what time of day, that shadow was always curved.

The only way for that to be true is for the earth to be a spheroid. Glad Yule to all!
