Regarding Item 3, where the heck was your partner? When the Trail saw the you and not signaled a successful field goal attempt he should have been in your face letting you know the the ball went through the basket and then you can make the decision as to whether to score the basket or not.

We often have different partners in the games I officiate. I found out this partner has even less experience than I (2yrs.) do. I don't know every person in our association so sometimes I am not sure who has experience and who doesn't.
I usually go over this in pregame but found some experienced officials who look at me like I'm from Mars. "I been doing this so long I forgot more than you'll ever know, etc." Which is sort of humorous because I am 39 year old second year guy (but have been around the game as a player and coach most of my life) and I get paired with some 30 year old that has been officiating for 10 years.
Anyway I think from now on I need to go over this and make sure we are on the same page. By the way what are the normal things you go over in pregame?
