Fall ball around here is great - its usually two teams of mixed varsity/jv kids....Sunday morning..... hour and half time limit each game...by yourself. We get -- hold yourself -- 55 a game for a DH (minus our assignors fee)
Its casual as all hell, and nobody bothers you. Its balls/strikes/outs, and if some kid goes home early, and leaves a team 'short', the other team will 'lend' an outfielder. Heck, last Sunday one team 'borrowed' a PITCHER! The kids get work, I get work, and everyone goes home happy - and usually early, as the coaches want to make it home in time to watch the NFL!
This Saturday I am going to one where we will play one, break for a bbq (yes, I will get fed
), then play another......you just cant beat this sometimes!
I got this twice in September, plus probably two more times in Oct....
