Certian behaviors do not happen "over-night"
If you are a hot head you are a hot head. If you are an alcoholic and in a program you can't all of a sudden have a social drink and think things will be ok. Your not "Sister Theresa" and all of a sudden turn into "Charles Manson"
It's my gut that these jerk coaches were NEVER repremanded in the league where they play their regular season games. Their behavior didn't "just happen" They most likely got away "Scott free" in their league.
The article doesn't say BUT the 3 jerk coaches should be suspended from coaching for a minimum of one year. If the coach "bumped the umpire" charges should have been filed.
No more Mr. nice guy. It's time to "lock-up" these coaches for a night, let them pay a hefty fine. If they assaulted an official treat the same as if a police officer were assaulted.
It's like the DWI laws. Most states are cracking down on drunk driven with severe penalties.
Same thing needs to be done concerning coaches behavior towards officials. Enough if enough.
