Working out at night increases my metabolism while I sleep- I'm not sure it really matters all that much. The best time to exercise is when you can keep the commitment. If I had to workout in the morning, I'd probably blow it off a lot and the benefits would be lower. Working out in the evenings fits with my routine so that's when I do it.
