What is the correct NCAA rule on this particular play and does the NBA have a different rule on it?

We awarded the 3 point basket (obviously) and awarded one free throw to the offensive player who got fouled under the basket.
JR gave you the NCAA/NFHS rule, which is to handle the foul just as you normally would in any other situation in which the foul is committed by a member of a team not in control of the ball.

What you did was apply the NBA rule. The NBA counts the basket and awards the fouled player one FT. I guess you watch too much NBA TV.
