Philosophically, I'm with you; I just don't think this particular hill is all that big of a deal. And the pragmatic benefits of the rule are worth it; I've had too many blow outs where I've had to nip stuff in the bud. If this tool helps get rid of some of that stuff, good.
As
someone else an esteemed member ROCKYROAD pointed out, too, schools in states with a shot clock can't use the stall offense.
There are lessons available for kids on the losing end of these blowouts, but they aren't any better if the score is 110-5 instead of 72-3.
