Just be careful with the "seatbelt" rule. Even after getting "seatbelted", the head coach may still stand within the coaching box to request a timeout or signal his players to request a time-out; may stand and/or leave the coaching box to confer with personnel at the scorer’s table to request a timeout for a correctable error, or a timing, scoring or alternating-possession mistake to be prevented or rectified; may stand within the coaching box to replace or remove a disqualified or injured player or player directed to leave the game; may stand during a charged time-out, or the intermission between quarters and extra periods; may stand to spontaneously react to an outstanding play by a team member or to acknowledge a replaced player, but must immediately return to his seat.
