Well, this thread is going straight down the TMI road, but... screw it.

Personally, I wear the Shock Doctor compression shorts ($25 each at ump-attire.com) with the Shock Doctor cup in the built-in pouch. Lately, it's been 90+ degrees every day out on the field with at least 60% humidity (usually closer to 90%), and I'm wearing my navy Fechheimers. I never feel "too hot" down there, though I use a bit of Gold Bond to help keep things cool and dry.

WAY more information than you needed to know, but hey... It's all part of the profession.
