It is indeed a lost art. Back then, it seemed as though everyone kept book. Some had real scorebooks, and most used the one that was inside the program. Ah, the good old days!

I learned to keep score from my dad. I still do it when I watch the Beavers at the old Civic Stadium (now PGE Park). The Beavers, of course, used to be in the old PCL with the Padres and are now their AAA affiliate. We just sent you some of our better guys last week.
