shawn, we were told at our interpretation meeting for HS that the ball is put in play at the spot closest to where the ball was at the time of the simultaneous fouls.

In NCAA, the ruling is explicitly in the rulebook and is different from HS. The ball is put back in play at the spot closest to where the inbounder's opponent's foul occured.
