Similar thing happened to me this year. V team has two different colored jerseys, red and gray. V's big girl goes right through the girl in front of her to get the rebound. I hit the whistle and close on the play only to discover that the girl in front of her was her teammate in a gray jersey.
Dangit!
Called it an inadvertent whistle and went with the AP since we weren't sure V had actually controlled the rebound before the whistle.
