Not Just Mere Threads; Lessons for Life

I had this exact sitch last week. I didn't bother to thoroughly study the discussion board conclusion on this precise situation when it was posted that very day prior to my game.
When the defense didn't provide players in the bottom two boxes, I erringly issued a warning for delay of game. That worked, and neither of the coaches disgreed at all, but it wasn't the correct procedure.
Only after I got home that night did I study the discussion board responses which correctly stated that I should have "directed them" to fill those spaces, or else I would have had to issue a T, as above references verify.
No one else in the gym knew whether I was right or wrong, but I should have made the right call for the situation. Now I know.
Lesson Here: Study the discussion board responses thoroughly. This was the third time this year that a response expressed in a thread was relevant to a game situation in which I was involved soon thereafter. If you are a contributor here, I thank you for your part in this beneficial process.
