So is this saying that it becomes a dead ball on the foul by the offensive team or this is the exception that it doesn't when the try is on the way?
Wasn't there a play where the shot is killed while in the air, I thought this was the situation, but maybe not.

Perhaps you're confusing "continuous motion" in this. If the foul by A2 had been after A1 began the try but before the ball was released, the ball would be immediately dead (in this example, if B2 had fouled after the start of the try, the try would be allowed to continue). Once the ball is in the air, the try is allowed to finish, whether the foul is on A2 or B2.
