Team control, screen?

A1 dribbling top of key, goes of A2 screen with B1 following, A1 gets shot off, B1 trying to get through screen is held by A2 while ball is in air?

what is the call if basketball goes in? misses? Rule # or case play? I remember seeing it, but can't seem to find it.

6-7-4 ball is dead on a player control or team control foul.

Team control doesn't exist during a shot attempt.

Count the basket if it goes in. B1 shoots 1-and-1 if Team B is in the bonus (they get possession for a throw-in if they're not in the bonus).

Trying to get "through the screen" or around the screen? The first implies a charging foul by B1. If so, that foul would not kill the ball as long as A1's try had begun.

Assuming we're talking about the holding foul by A2, so long as A1's try is in flight, the ball is still live. As JS_20 pointed out, it's not a team control foul because team control ends when the try is released. So rather than NFHS 6-7-4, we're talking about NFHS 6-7-7 and exception a.

6-7-7 the ball becomes dead when a foul, other than player or team control... Exception A(occurs while a try or tap for a goal is in flight)

So is this saying that it becomes a dead ball on the foul by the offensive team or this is the exception that it doesn't when the try is on the way?

Wasn't there a play where the shot is killed while in the air, I thought this was the situation, but maybe not.

String them all together and you end up with "The ball becomes dead, or remains dead, when a foul, other than player- or team-control, occurs except that the ball does not become dead until the try or tap ends when [the foul] occurs while a try or tap for a field goal is in flight."

IOW, the ball is dead when a non player- or team-control occurs, UNLESS a try is in flight, in which case the ball is not dead until the try ends.

The ball would be dead if it were a player control foul, or if any member of the shooting team committed a violation (e.g., leaving the court, swinging elbows, offensive BI).

Perhaps you're confusing "continuous motion" in this. If the foul by A2 had been after A1 began the try but before the ball was released, the ball would be immediately dead (in this example, if B2 had fouled after the start of the try, the try would be allowed to continue). Once the ball is in the air, the try is allowed to finish, whether the foul is on A2 or B2.
