What should have occurred was a review of videos to suspend players coming off the bench. There is nothing to stop the OHSAA from doing that.

As for security, in our area it would cost money to have armed security so schools use teachers which is a perk for them. Before the highly publicized Kings Park-Sayville game my umpire and I joked about the security lady thinking the only thing she secured was a muffin in the lunch room. Sure enough at the end of the game she was our escort off the field until she got assistance from another teacher.

In retrospect, when the game got heated to the point where our safety came into question someone should have called police to provide for our safety.
