I will say this about glen's shoes...........I am damn glad I have my sunglasses on when I am in his presence.........
BUT.......to say that shiney shoes projects a "look at me" image..........I say "horse hockey" (to quote Colonel Potter)..........
If we cannot strive to look our best.......crud
I have my pants pressed, shirts starched (not any more with the micro mesh).......New (or at least very good) hats.......etc......
I (and I am sure glen) am sorry that my creased pants and/or shined shoes upset another umpire...........
As I have said a bazillion times before (I don't know why I shine my shoes before games........after 2 minutes they are dusty and my shine job is gone).......but I do it anyway......
