I understand that most states govern all levels of HS sports and use NFHS. That is why i said 'It might be a VA thing'. I just know that there are a number of different rule sets in a number of different sports that have nothing to do with NFHS and the varying governing bodies, down to teams playing, can sometimes change a rule. Unless it is a set NFHS rule that someone is misapplying, to say they did something wrong may not be the best route to take.
