Extra whistle, extra socks. Probably the only two items that I buy some new ones every year and I've been doing this for 30 years.
Don't waste money on a jacket. For cold weather, I dress in layers, Underarmour, sweatshirt, etc. The jackets are too cumbersome and look amateurish.
