Cool

Pete my point has NOTHING to do with closeness of fans, or if there is secuirty present . . .

My point to be precise is:

FANS are not part of my game. With the exception of a drunken fan I cannot picture having a situation where I (note this is MY GAME - not yours, not Rog's - it is my game) would eject a fan.

I do not work Small Ball - I simply ACCEPT that fans are fans and I do nothing to control them. It is the responsibility of the site administration (and if there is none - then the home coach) to police this activity.

I am not rying to convince ANY of you to do things my way . . . I simply have answered HOW I FEEL about this issue.

Weak umpires (now don't confuse weak with bad - the are plenty of STRON BAD umpires) put themselves in the position of trying to make up for their weaknesses by policing the crowd.

My dad, who also flew airplanes, once TOLD ME:

"Tee, just remember a landing is just an ORGANIZED crash!"
