IOW, I don't think he was saying that you shouldn't T the coach for being in the wrong box. He was merely saying that somebody should always be able to check for the request before it gets to the point where the coach is running into the backcourt.

That was my point. It's irrelevant whether you shoulda, coulda, woulda. You have to deal with what actually happened. And what happened is that you've got a coach yelling at you from the
OTHER team's bench area. Don't blame the officials if they can't get a TO request in situations like this because the situation has dictated that they can't turn away from the action.
